I've got an Incriminator Audio 20.1and I can't decide what to put with it to make a serious daily driver.

As I've been told, this amp has some sick power -- easily whoops on a pair of MTX1501ds! So, I was thinking 4 decent 15s would wail on it. The question is what 15s and what enclosure?

I work at a shop that carries Hollwood Digital and Kicker...so it would be nice to run something they have. A standard ported box wall was also in my head...but it just seems too simple.

I'm wanting something to totally rock. Thoughts/opinions? Poobah?

What kind of car, muisc, how much room for a box?

First thought would be something like four Kicker L7 15's or maybe a single solo X 18. Have you done any electrical upgrades to run an amp that big?

250 Amp alternator.

98 Ford Explorer 4 Door

Box? Don't know...I've got room for four 15s.

Rap music almost 80% of the time.

I was considering four Hollywood Digital Edge 15s. They seem to do decent..

pick up four of the DAYTON DVC 15's from parts express... price is around $105-130 each... oh yeah.. hope you have room for a 20cube box + around 150-200sq in of port. Would be a fun drive...

i just picked up that amp as well

im going to be running an mt15 in my extended cab ranger

if you give us more to work with like actual number of cubic feet that you have and amount of money you are wanting to spend it would help out significantly

the 4 15 daytons are a good idea
so are the 4 l7s

personally speaking 450ish watts to a dayton will sound better and have lower xtension then the l7s

if you just want loud the l7z will do it in a heartbeat

I highly doubt the Daytons will handle the power. Even with four of them. Also, if its 80% rap music, then IMO the Kickers are the best bet. Fit in about 20 cubes tuned around 33-35 hz's.

I dont have any experience with the Hollywood subs and have never really seen anything about them on the forums. But I do know the Kickers take a beating and get crazy loud. Plus the new ones are sexy  8)

Edit: Welcome to the forum :D

1800rms isn't it? 600rms coils on the daytons...

Yeah.

I remember modeling them awhile back and seeing some over excursion with less than rated power.. BBpro is showing me different than I remember. Its a close call between the Daytons and L7's. Dayton DVC 15's are on sale right now for 105 each. I highly doubt you'll find any Kicker L7's of any size for that low. So I change my vote to guilty. Go Dayton.

Do something around 25 cubes tuned to between 20 and 25 hz's. That would be nasty.

Much over 16 cubes net internal will have to = a wall. I'm trying to stay away form that..........though it is an option.

1800 RMS yah ;), but it does closer to 2200, and a true 2200 at that.

Scottie johnson has said it whoops on a pair of 1501s strapped O_O.

Don't wanna go much over 200 a sub in $$.

The Dayton's will do just about anything the original Adire Tempest, well pretty close anyway....

I think there is a chance they may actually get a little louder than the L7's with that amp PURELY based on the fact that you don't bring them to thier mechanical limits, wich is entirely, and probably would haven with 1800+ watts....

If you listem to rap, you may be happier with the L7s anyway. I'm putting an L7 15 in the trunk of a Jetta next week...... I'm sure it will be loud....

Also, there are alot of other subs out there that will get crazy loud for you application under $200 EACH. Even look at the Dayton titanic 15", that thing should be brutal....

Another good sub. BBpro shows it whoopming the Kickers and DVC's. They're also on sale right now for 175. Very nice subs for the money.

25-30 cubes tuned to 20hz's. Man I wish I could fit that in my little car

Hey, Dont look at me Mr. Kicker. Ive never modeled the subs till now let alone compared them to L7's..

Keep your subs and get everything else needed. No more changing plans :P

Your crazy man. Its not a big enough gain to make it worth going through the hassle of changing everything. You already have the subs so dont worry about it. BTW, Im going to look at a car for you this weekend :D Theres a white wagon on my way to work
