So my pro amp has a really annoying fan. Its not that is just makes white noise its more of a whrum whrum whrum. I've got the damn thing mounted inside a kitchen cabinet and i can still hear it at low volumes and in between songs.

I took the amp apart enough to get a look at it an it looks like its about 3" in diameter. A guy on another forum recommended that I look at some fans at (don remember the website) but they were only 125mm so they were too big.

Any ideas, and anyone know what apple puts in their laptops because I've had this one since last year and it's dead quite at all times.

hmm... sure i'll see you in prolly 1-2hrs, but i'll post this in case i forget. What you're looking for is most likely a 80mm fan, possibly a 70 or 90, but 80 is the most common size fan.

My advice would be to hunt down a nice unit such as the panaflo LowOutput fans, they even come with bare leads so you don't have to mess with taking of a dumb molex connector (its a computer fan) $8 a pop... crap, if you end up buying one, i wouldn't mind picking up two.... i got some loud fans in my computer i wouldn't mind getting rid of.
