As some of you might recall, I was having problems with fuses rattling out of my amp at high volumes. Today, I put in motion my secret technique to solve this problem (piece of tape over the fuses to the body of the amp) and viola! No more fuse blowing.
Something else equally annoying started happening, however. I had a brand new CD I wanted to check out. Problem was, as soon as I got up around 3/4 volume, the XXX managed to make the Eclipse skip :/
So, I thought 'WTF, this CD must be screwed up' and threw in another... Increased volume... 3/4.. 3.5/4.... 4/4!!! No skipping at all!
Turns out this second CD was an MP3 CD... My deck apparently reads MP3s in to memory instead of trying to constantly read the data stream from the disc.
Anyway, I'm not sure if this is common knowledge already but, long story short, if you want to push the limits of your system/ears/body panels, burn your tracks to an MP3 CD :)
