i am not sure how many of you guys have heard about this, but i think it is GREAT

i've know about it for a while, but haven't started using it extensively until now...

http://pandora.com/

it's internet radio....basically you put in an artist you like, and it will find music similar to what you liek and you can say you like or dislike a song and it will narrow the search for a next song based on what you like and don't

like i said it's been around for a while but though i'd share it with anyone in case they haven't heard of it yet!

BTW is anyone a Radiohead fan and heard the new Album?

Radio Head blows......unless you are some whiney college kid who thinks that they are OWED everything and dont wanna put forth any effort to gain what you want.

Siince there is no OT here (yet), I have to tell you all where I just came back from. My wife's cousin's daughter's bat mizpha (speeld wrong, but you know what I am talking about).

I have never ran into so many rude folks as I did while I was there. It was stunning for me to see the way they acted. I am not condoning any recial bigotry, but man on man.........I come from a long line of Jews, and these folks top the cake. It is hard to be treated like an outsider at family gatherings, and these rude mother fuckers did just that. [/vent]

pandora has been around for a while. Internet radio never took off the way they wanted it to. IIRC there was legislation about banning internet radio a while back. I say Booo to that and request that they try to pass legislation reguarding things that actually matter and make a real difference in folks lives.

And with that, I am out!!

i guess you could consider me the whiney college kid...lol but i work for everything i have...
a little over generalization....but i can see where you are coming from though...not my all time favorite band but i do like em and am interested to hear the new album

but i'll agree about the legislation banning internet radio...dumb and pointless. they should worry about more important topics, like better healthcare for the common people and education...but politics are run by people who have money...and record labels have money...sad but true

hope you feel better after venting x-over

I felt much better and I also like the fact that I was not the only one that felt this way.

I've used it for a couple years. The only thing I don't like is how much effort it takes my computer to run it. it slows down doing anything else on the computer to half or quarter speed.
