I've been needing to retire my NAD power envelope amplifier for years....I have a active x-over to use.
I've had a pair of SVS 16/46 CS passive subwoofers for 8 years or so. I think SVS has had two upgrade options for the 12" drivers since I had gotten mine.
Mine are the first of the breed.....I think they are rated around 250 watts, which I really doubt I'd ever push them to.
This Behringer amp looks like a good clean sounding convection cooled unit of moderate power to use for my subwoofers at a good price.
I'm hoping it may give a bit more (clarity?) at those lower frequencies, with better damping. A fresh amp can't be a bad thing.
The SVS 16/46 may not be the best match for LaScala, but I think I can help tighten things up a wee bit by using a better amp....I dunno...the NAd is a little sloppy sounding.
Maybe upgrade the drivers down the road....coating those gloried concrete tube molds with bedliner might be a nice option.
