Possibility of Washington Club [Archive]

Well, this was started in the comp thread, but I want to start one about it. Most of people on here that post are in Washington, soo, instead of just being internet groupies, I think it would be cool if we started our own little club.. Meet up when ever possible at local comps and stuff like that.. I know theres about six people over on the west side and another five on the east.. WE NEED TO GET SOMETHING ROLLING :shock: :lol: lol

So whats the possiblities of it? I know I would be willing to help build, design, etc for whoever needs it and I would also be willing to travel alittle bit (once everything is ready) to meet up, help run events, kick it, promote, etc..

So who would all be interested in starting an actual club :?:

Can sound quality count or is it all about sickening sound pressure levels?

I'd like to put something in this little POS, but I'm more concerned about overall sound quality than convulsing sheetmetal. Good moderate bass levels of course.
Wouldn't really wanna spend much at all, I'd rather spend money for home gear.
Mandatory stealth install, out of sight, out of mind.

Probably should just worry about getting it running right.....

I am down, I am currently working on a SQ setup for my truck. I do have the equipment for messing around. I have a cheap condenser mic, I also have Praxis and RTA, and a Termlab SPL meter.

Oh by the way July 9th I am sponsoring a car audio compeition, if anyone is interested hit me up. Its Grand Coule Damn area. Its also a car show should be interesting to see who shows up. Some Car show club is hosting the car show there and I am sponsoring the SPL part. I think it will be a ton of fun.

Guys at Adire are still talking about how my hatch looked like it was going to fly off.. So its all good..

The club would welcome anybody and everybody thats interested in it. Anybody who would be willing to help and or represent.

Smart Ass.. Makes me want to build an spl only box and show you Im more capable.. Even though I know you will still fling your poo. I wonder if I could get a single b15 louder than my pair of JBL's...

I dont think its dead.. Easy has a show coming up here, I was gonna throw together a box for the Brahma, but it looks like its gonna be sold. So I probably wont be going.

There should be a show coming up this year around August. Its a import drag racing show down at Kent Raceways. Bryan and I went last year, it was pretty fun.. They had a 2x Db Drag event, car show, etc. I was thinking of trying to arrange a meet and greet around then.. Id like to get my install going and I know Ernest is still working on his. If no shows pop up, we should just try and do a bbq/meter day if Easy's up to it.

I just found out too that theres a group of people on elites forum that are thinking about arranging a get together. Might be another opportunity to meet more locals organize something..

yeah... i rememeber there being a few people at last years adire meet that were from diff forums, CA.com comes to mind, there were at least 2 guys off that.

I'm from Tacoma, not all SPL oriented, more SPL/SQ even in terms of design and setup, but I wang > mainstream, so what it is.

Im not talking like a big open house event, but a little gathering to give everyone a chance to meet each other and maybe have Easy bring up the meter for anyone who wants to see what they can do??

Im planning on it if my subs come in :D I'll have to arrange it around work.. Maybe take friday off to drive out there.. Stay Saturday and drive back Sunday.. That will be a long weekend :?
