Hey Edgar here a pic of the scope.

The only part that was damaged was the bottom left corner where the power button is. The front frame is cracked in that corner and the button is shattered but thats it. I tried all 4 channels and I get the same problem.

Now what exactly did you mean about the Triggering?

Regarding the ground to a good ground. Are you talking about the ground in the wall outlet for example, or a ground inside the scope?

Ground at the wall outlet, or the same groung the equipment you are measuring is hooked up to. Hopefully they are the same......

if they are not on the same line could that cause the grounding issue?

The scope isn't plugged into the same outlet as the amp.

Another thing to keep in mind is that I learned this in french so terms you use might be a bit confusing for me.

All of the grounds should be tied to the same place in your house, that is if they are all connected... Sometimes you may have a ground lifted somewhere, and besides being dangerous, it can also create noise...

I might have forgotten to mention it. But the noise only happens when I connect the ground clip of the scope. I can connect the + clip and it won't affect the system.

I will try your recommendation about the wire to another ground.

Alright so here we go.

I mesured the V difference between the front panel ground to the wall outlet ground with the scope off and it read 2.3Vac which shouldn't be.
I then mesured the R of the front ground to the power cord ground and read roughly 1.5-3.0 ohms.

I will be going over to a friend's place get it checked out aswell as a pre-amp I'am having trouble with.
