Box Design for Single 2005 XXX

Was guided here for some box design. I am somewhat of a novice when it comes to car audio. But i do have a very capable box builder for this project.( My brother)
I have a 2005 dual 2 ohm RE XXX subwoofer.
I am listening to about 97% rap music(Three 6 Mafia, got to love those beats)
I will most likely be running the hifonics bx1606 amp. (1600 watts, but from what i know they are overrated by 200 or so watts so i am thinking this will be okay) I would consider other amp suggestions if anyone strongly thinks i should consider another amp.
But anyway...
I will probably be doing a slot ported box. Could anyone give me some specs such as slot length/volume. How many cubes? What tuning frequency...any other important factors. Bracing needed? hints or tricks for maximum output from this sexy sub.
Any other imput would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

For that sub I would go from about 1.5-2ft3 tuned at about 30 Hz with as much port area as possible. You could possibly go a little bigger in size to get more port area and higher efficiency. I think you are right on going with a slot port, it is an easy way to get the most practical port area some times. I don't have any of my decent design software where I'm at, at the moment... If nobody else crunches the numbers for you, I'll work it out with a freeware program I downloaded last night.
