Hey guys, this is my first post. I have a 2006 Dodge Charger SXT and I have a few questions.

1) I have 2 Ascendant Audio Arsenal 12" subs that I'm going to run 1200 watts (@ 1 ohm) to with an Elemental Designs NiNE.1 amplifier, and I wanted to know if I should go sealed or ported (I have 6x9's in the rear deck and I'm taking those out, and I'm going to be putting in component speakers in the front doors and dash, the MB Quart PCE-216 components), because I'm taking out those 6x9's to let the bass travel from the trunk through the rear deck to the cabin.

2) I was wondering what size the box should be and maybe some detailed dimension specs (of course, I have to know if I should go ported or sealed of course), and the music I listen to is heavy metal, hardcore, rap, heavy rock, and alternative rock.

Thanks guys!

the majority of people like ported boxes because they are louder and go lower (if you design em right). I would just go with whatever ascendant recs.

good idea about taking out the 6x9s since they usually sound like hell anyway. You might want to think about sound dampening your trunk or making a better blow thru system (either through your 6x9holes or through something else like an arm rest etc.

I would go with 4 cubes net tuned to 28hz with at least 40 square inches of port.

Let us know your dimensions then we can design it, try to figure out the maximum size your box could be and still get in your trunk, look for all pinch points and take the smallest combinations of all these that way you don’t wind up with something that cant get in your car.

If you are anywhere near Spokane WA then I can work on the box for you, if not then shipping would be astronomical.

Haydenlakes box would probably be good for you.
