Hello all, did some searching today for a set of 6 1/2 components, RE audio was surprisingly an option.  Having owned and abused some of thier products, courtesy of 95Honda, i was wondering if their component sets were equally as durable, as i eat door speakers(mb quart, alpine, fosgate)

The speakers that were eaten were all 5x7 component sets crossed over at nearly 200hz, as to avoid distortion, and all getting plenty of clean power.  What i am getting at, is i am looking for the most bulletproof 6.5 component set that i will be able to crank the piss out of indefinately.

I'm sure the XXX line could handle your abuse.  Not sure about the RE line but I'm sure they're made well too.  My JL XR's are quite hardy, that's about all I know.  I'm sending them an available 150 RMS per side and had them distort (on accident) a few times and I've never had a problem.

thanks for the info.  I was just so impressed with the RE audio stuff  (4 RE 8's in a standard cab tacoma) that i wanted to give them another shot on some components.  I am not the most discerning audiophile,  i just want the stoutest setup within reason.

RALPH!  WTF have you been!

Dude, if you want to go bulletproof, or Bozler proof, honestly, I think you could destroy any set out there.  The XXXs are sweet, but if you eat those, that's like $500......  Anyway, I think I could design a set for you that would be indestructable.  We can work around the amp you have, or the amp you want to get.  Let me know...

Dude, good to hear from you man, I hope the marriage is going good!  Can't wait to get back next fall.  I'll give you a call this weekend...
