For Master Sergeant.... 2 months of Studying, 1-2 hours a day, sometimes more.... I'll find out in about 5 months if I made it.... I'm just glad I'll get a break from the books for a while.... It'll be a good raise if I get it, it's been 11 years so far, 9 to go.... We'll see how everything pans out...
200 questions, I need to make about 80% to pass.... I think I knew about 75-80% of the answers.... It'll be close....
Next week I am off for a 6 week academy for Non-Commisioned Officers.... So I guess the break will be short lived!

Man I have been busy with the Academy, but time is flying by. 2 weeks down, 4 to go.... I forgot about homework.... LOL, we have an 8 hour academic day follwed by 2 hours or so of PT and then a few hours of homework each night.... But, I'm learning all the stuff I have forgot over the years, so it is a good thing....

My knowledge of the military food chain ranking system is pretty nil, so bear with me....
What would a radio maintenence technician with a E7 rank, qualify in the civilian world?
Do you come out pretty much as a qualified Electrical Engineer?
Good luck with the testing.

Honesty, I would qualify as management idealy, with an electronics background. I should have my EE by the time I retire though, so management or engineering will be my call. By the time you are an E-7 and up, you are pretty much hands off equipment and pretty much leading people/workcenters/squadrons/etc...
