No tubes, but the 833 is a glass transmitting triode good for a 100 watts, with something like a max plate voltage of 4000 volts.

Here's a pic of one 833 in one of the ungodly expensive WAVAC amps....

that wavac is PURDY....   i'm sure the other could look decent with a lil bit of cleanup work.

100w in SET...dayum. Could run electrostats with that Smiley

Does the 833 have a thoriated tungsten filament? Definitely looks like a transmitting tube...only ones I've ever dealt with personally were some 3500-Z's in an HF radio amplifier. Did something like 1.5kW full carrier on AM, those things would light up the room at full power.
